What is your opinion about this university?
University of the People offers a unique and accessible educational experience, especially for students who may face financial or geographic barriers to traditional universities. Its tuition-free model, with only minimal assessment fees, makes higher education more attainable for many. I appreciate the mission and flexibility it offers.

What did you like/dislike about this university?
What I liked most was the availability of scholarships and financial aid. UoPeople truly supports students in need, and I was able to complete courses without worrying about overwhelming costs. The professors, while not full-time in many cases, are passionate and responsive. The peer-to-peer interaction was another highlight—students from around the world bring diverse perspectives to discussions.
What I disliked, however, was the limited direct engagement with professors compared to traditional universities. The asynchronous format is convenient, but it can sometimes feel isolating or self-directed without enough real-time support.

Would you recommend it?
Yes, I would recommend UoPeople to motivated, self-disciplined learners who need an affordable and flexible alternative to traditional education. It’s especially great for those who have work or family commitments. However, it may not be ideal for those who thrive in face-to-face learning environments or who seek a traditional campus experience.
What stood out – classes, professors, or campus life?
What stood out most to me were the discussion forums and the support from peers. Because everyone is online and engaged, you build a surprising sense of community with people across the globe. Some professors were very involved and offered insightful feedback, which helped me improve academically. The scholarship process was straightforward and fair, which I really appreciated.
