University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (reviews)

Really loved the engineering program here because the professors are hands down one of the best in the nation and they actual care so much about us (I heard from friends attending other univ that some of their prof could be really stiff, transactional business like). The campus is just way too big and you’d have to walk a lot between classes which sucks when it’s snowing. Social life wise, it’s amazing because there’s always something to do and countless student activities you can choose from. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who doesn’t mind the freezing, FREEZING winters. Honestly, nothing but good memories and experience in retrospect, and I never once regretted being an UIUC student.

It was a great course and I’d recommend Everyone who want to gain their financial education. The course is available via Coursera as well in order to ensure learning flexibility. Great practical exercises will make this course more useful.

The university has a lot of opportunities for a wide variety of departments. Undergraduate research is a staple of this school led by top-tier professors that help their students succeed. Another opportunity is the vast number or organizations ones can join on campus. There is an org for everyone! Overall, I would recommend this school, especially for anyone in stem, as the support they offer in this field is immense.

One of the best Engineering program, probably only after MIT, Stanford, GATech, and UC Berkeley. Loving it here. Best professors, friends and faculties. Extremely friendly people, with the Midwest attitude and all.
