Vita-Salute San Raffaele University combines three key elements: the university (teaching), the hospital (clinic), and the scientific institutes (research). These components provide students with unique learning experience and a solid network of professionals and researchers.
From the early years, students benefit from the facilities and opportunities provided by the San Donato Group, including internships, study exchanges, seminars, and collaborations with network partners. These experiences at centers of excellence can lead to concrete career paths within the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University ecosystem.

The campus offers academic services and facilities to support students’ learning journeys. It also provides many opportunities to enjoy university life: associations and sports clubs organise a variety of activities and events for students to join. Additionally, the campus is in a green and lively area of Milan, which offers numerous leisure activities.

I enrolled in the International Medical Doctor Program in UniSR back in 2019. My class got very familiar very early with the incredible integration between research and clinical activity that takes place in San Raffaele from the preclinical years, having the opportunity to meet world-class researchers in multiple fields, and I also had the opportunity of living UniSR to the fullest getting involved with -and founding- multiple student groups and initiatives, such as student representation and cultural activities. The fun started during the clincal years when I got involved very early on with ophthalmology, which became my career path after graduating. I had the chance to participate in numerous clinical and research projects. UniSR highly encourages international mobility for students, and through my ophthalmology Professors I also had the chance to attend an important ophthalmic institution in London for both clinical activity and research.
Overall my years in UniSR were outstanding, I made incredible lasting friendships and had multiple growth experiences both academically and in life. I will forever be proud to call UniSR my home.
Attending the degree program in Obstetrics at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University was a very positive experience, which allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. I graduated in 2025, and looking back, I can say it was a choice I would make again without hesitation.
One of the aspects I appreciated most was the quality of the teaching. The instructors are knowledgeable and available, always ready to discuss and clarify. The fact that many of them are also clinicians and researchers makes the lessons concrete and up-to-date: theory, research, and clinical practice are truly integrated, and this helps you immediately understand the importance of working based on solid scientific evidence.
Practical experiences have played a central role in my career. Training activities allow you to put what you study into practice, thanks to exercises and simulations that reproduce real-world situations. This has helped me gain confidence, learn to manage different healthcare situations, and work in a team. Simulation laboratories, like SimLab, are modern and well-equipped spaces. Here, we were able to practice in a protected yet realistic environment, using concrete tools and immersive training methods that make learning immediate and highly practical. It was a crucial step in preparing me for real clinical settings.
Both curricular and extracurricular internships were equally important. Collaboration with top-notch institutions, including San Raffaele Hospital itself, allowed me to work with highly qualified professionals. The university guided and supported me in organizing my program, facilitating a gradual and structured integration into the departments. Thanks to these experiences, I was able to consolidate my technical and interpersonal skills directly in the field.
Furthermore, the University offers the opportunity to participate in extracurricular projects and research activities that enrich the study program and allow students to develop transversal and interdisciplinary skills.
Overall, I believe the strength of this program is the balance between theory and practice, between study and fieldwork. Vita-Salute San Raffaele University has provided me with solid, concrete skills that have allowed me to enter a high-level professional environment immediately after graduation.
I attended the degree course in Physiotherapy, obtaining the title in 2023.
I would highly recommend this training program, as it offers solid and comprehensive preparation. The knowledge provided is constantly updated, and the internship program is particularly rich and educational. Students have the opportunity to gain experience in numerous departments (including intensive care), relying on the highly competent and helpful clinical tutors in environments equipped with numerous cutting-edge rehabilitation devices.
The course is well-structured, and the interaction with the instructors is simple, direct, and constructive, fostering a stimulating and collaborative learning environment.
Another strength is the extensive space dedicated to practical activities, which are essential for learning this profession: in addition to internships, classroom lessons also offer opportunities for practice, thanks to the presence of treatment tables and the availability of opportunities for students to experiment with various manual physiotherapy techniques among their classmates.
There is also the possibility of completing internships at other hospitals and outpatient clinics that collaborate with San Raffaele Hospital, equally qualified and characterized by a high level of innovation.
Finally, especially during the third year of the course, students are offered the opportunity to delve deeper into specific areas of physiotherapy interest through dedicated extracurricular courses.
View moreA well-organized university, full of competent professors and highly trained internship tutors who are willing to teach students, despite it not being their contractual obligation. Classrooms and facilities are in excellent condition. I would absolutely recommend it; one of the best choices I’ve made. The campus has a cafeteria, fast food outlets, and outdoor green spaces for the summer.
View moreI started a master back in november: teachers are so well prepared. I am learning so much and can’t wait to go further in this year. And I am already using at work what I have learnt during the lessons. I love it!
View moreI completed both my Bachelor’s (Triennale) and Master’s (Magistrale) degrees in Biotechnology. Being in a small class was really helpful. It made communication between students and professors much easier. Also, the program offers a one-year internship packed with opportunities! .
