I really enjoyed studying Biochemistry at the University of Exeter and would definitely recommend the course and university. My tutors and lecturers were a particular highlight — they were approachable, supportive and I felt I could build genuine relationships with them. Some even remembered me by name at graduation after not taking a module with them since my first year, which really showed how much they cared about getting to know their students. The course was challenging and gave me a good mix of biology and chemistry. One thing to be aware of is that Exeter does not have a standalone/core Chemistry degree, so the chemistry side of Biochemistry is structured around specific organic and inorganic chemistry modules, with more flexibility later on through different module combinations. I had a great experience with my first-year accommodation, although I know many students struggled with accommodation availability, particularly in later years, with some being unable to secure on-campus accommodation or having their accommodation arrangements deferred.

Overall, I had a very positive experience at Exeter and would definitely recommend it to prospective students. One of the best decisions I made reading Biochemistry as my undergraduate and
