The University of Florida is a great place for students from all over the world. One of the things I appreciated most was the strong international presence—it’s easy to meet people from different cultures and backgrounds, which creates a very enriching environment. The campus is large and full of opportunities, from academic programs to student organizations and events.
View moreMy time at the University of Florida was an incredible journey. The Gator Nation spirit is truly contagious! I especially enjoyed the vibrant campus life, with countless clubs and organizations to get involved in. The academic rigor was challenging but rewarding, and I learned a tremendous amount from both professors and peers.
Some of the highlights include:
World-class professors: Many of my professors were leaders in their fields, and their passion for teaching was evident.
Campus facilities: The university boasts top-notch facilities, from the state-of-the-art libraries to the modern athletic venues.
Tailgating tradition: The football games were a blast, and the tailgating scene is legendary!
While the tuition costs can be high, I believe the University of Florida provides an excellent return on investment. I would highly recommend it to prospective students.
The first few semesters at UF are rough, especially if you are an undecided major. There are so many students that professors, staff at the career center, and college advisors are not truly invested or well equipped to encourage your long term growth and progress. In this case, a smaller university might be better.
View moreIf you are looking to attend UF’s BA in Digital Arts and Sciences program, find somewhere else to go and save your money, time, and energy! It is a new program designed to scam people out of their money and time. They are not selective in who they accept into the program at all, and do not prepare their students to be industry portfolio ready for ANY of the industries they teach. They overwork you and spread you thin in too many unrelated subjects for you to be proficient in any of them. STUDENTS BEWARE! You are better off trying literally any other major at the school, because they all seem reputable and produce more industry ready graduates compared to this program. Most of the people who graduate from this program end up unemployed for years or employed in something completely unrelated, like Walmart. But in UF’s graphic design program (which is an actual established reputable major) all of the graduates hit the ground running after graduation. IF YOURE IN THIS PROGRAM RIGHT NOW, TRANSFER WHILE YOU CAN.

Although certain classes may be quite large, the instructors are typically dedicated and accessible. There is an abundance of clubs and organizations available for students to join, fostering a lively atmosphere on campus. In summary, it is a enriching environment conducive to learning.
