The University of Florida is a great and wonderful school that provides the best learning opportunities for students. In addition, the university is extremely balanced, excellent in every way and has a group or club that caters to everyone.
View morePace University gives me the experience to grow not only academically, but also in my personal development. Thanks to its rigorous academic elements and its high level of competition, this institution has allowed me to develop critical thinking skills that have transformed my daily life. The diversity on campus, including clubs, Greek life, and ethnicity, has changed the way I view my community and allowed me to be more involved in my community. While there is always room for improvement, I believe that Pace University provides every student on campus with an excellent opportunity to achieve their goals and continue on their path of excellence.
View moreUF has incredible opportunities to get involved and network. Campus resources, including the Career Connections Center, Multicultural and Diversity Affairs, and Counseling and Wellness Center, are all offices that play an important role in student success. I love that UF and its administration are trying to dedicate their role to making the school better for its students. However, campus safety (including housing, assaults, and traffic safety) is a recurring issue that needs to be addressed. UF must continue to do better by creating a diverse and inclusive environment, renaming buildings after racist governments, and ending the use of prison staff. Being a part of this big school environment is really not something you can put into words.
View moreAttending the University of Florida is stressful due to the quality of the curriculum, faculty, and courses, but the value of the education makes it worth it. The academics here are outstanding! Love studying in Marston Library and Library West, two of my favorite locations.
View moreThere is always a wide variety of cultural stuff going on. Cultural organizations are always hosting events, the city of Gainesville hosts many activities, the Phillips Center is constantly hosting performances, and the Harn Museum of Art is a wonderful place to walk around. The university has endless activities for students to participate in, especially at the recreation centers. The city of Gainesville has so much to offer everyone! Gainesville itself may feel a bit “in the middle of nowhere,” but it has everything you need and want, and is a great place to spend your college years.
View moreThe faculty and staff at the University of Florida are almost entirely made up of older people who like to hear themselves talk and are not good educators. Many courses are only offered with pre-recorded online lectures that do not give students the opportunity to participate in an actual learning experience, but rather students are stuck behind a screen listening to a teacher monotonously and without interest for hours. If the university does not strive to create an interactive learning relationship between teachers and students, they will no longer be held in high esteem in academia. The only reason successful students graduate from the University of Florida is because of their own expertise and hard work, it is in no way a result of the efforts of educators and administrators.
View moreIn a school of over 50,000 students, finding diversity is very, very easy. In fact, it’s one of my favorite things about UF. There is a different cultural group every day in one of the main areas of campus. People generally accept each other quite well. Any intolerance or intolerance is handled very well by the administration.
View moreUF was known as a party school in the past. A common motto is that students here quickly learn to work hard and play hard. This quality is not only a result of the overwhelming influence and importance attached to Greek life, but also the fact that not many students think they have many entertaining options other than partying and substance abuse. However, this is incorrect as there are numerous other recreational activities that both UF and Gainesville have to offer. Another contributor to the party scene is the fact that many students are in desperate need of stress relief after each work week. Personally, I find most parties to be fun.
View moreVery well put together! Very well organized and doable. Just like personal contact. My learning was not hindered at all. Zoom felt like I was in class. Still able to see everyone and ask questions as I wanted. To be honest, I really couldn’t see any difference. I liked it. That’s why my online experience has been great and I can’t wait to start my next career. I am grateful that my classes have been put online due to the pandemic instead of being canceled entirely.
View moreI’m currently studying at the University of Florida and it’s a great university to go to. I have always dreamed of going to this school and it truly exceeds all my expectations. UF has so many different programs you can join. The atmosphere is very calm and accepting. I am very happy with my decision to attend this school!
