Texas State is a good school by all means. To start with the positives, their professors are fantastic, knowledgeable and personable, and genuinely want their students to succeed. However, I believe the curriculums, especially the English track(my major) is outdated as it hadn’t been changed since the 1980s. Writing has changed a lot over the years, and while it is a valuable skill for any job, I believe English programs should include copywriting courses and AI prompt courses, to prepare students for the increasingly AI powered workforce.

It was 2020 when I started with a cohort of folx who wanted to attain their higher education in Dance, and over the course of the 2-year experience, I built relationships with many that I will never forget nor replace. Perhaps we were a bit trauma-bonded, considering the times, but the amount of knowledge and experience I attained in that time still astounds me today.
View moreTexas Woman’s University is a good school with an easy to navigate campus. Not too much walking from one building to another. It’s a place for unique individuals to thrive, empower each other and form a supportive community for women. Super great and friendly faculty, they do care and challenge you. (except for one) she was a ***** (use your imagination) My first year, I stayed in Jones hall which has community bathrooms. If you don’t mind showering with other girls then it’s the place for you because it’s quite a peaceful dorm living. Overall it’s best known for its nursing school. One of the best. It’s very hard to get into/competitive.
