Wegmans School of Pharmacy in a nutshell

This is a very small school that emphasizes a feeling of community. The pharmacy school has roughly about 50-80 people per class. The classroom is set up that each class is assigned a room, and the professors come to you to teach. I can confidently say that majority of the professors can identify each student by name and gets to know the students personally. I suggest attending this school if you value community service and providing for the community. There is a volunteer hour requirement and a mandatory service day that is completed each year. There are also a wide variety of professional clubs and ways to get involved within the pharmacy community.

If you are a student in high school thinking about attending pharmacy school in the future, you should consider applying to the early assurance program. This is a 2 4 program (2 years of undergraduate and 4 years of pharmacy school). This is a way to obtain a bachelors of science in pharmaceutical studies and a Pharm.D is 6 years. It is definitely not an easy path to take, but saves a lot of money in the long run!
