Some educational journeys give us a degree. Others become part of who we are.
My journey with University of the People came at a time when I was balancing family, professional responsibilities, and a strong personal desire to continue learning. The flexibility it offered gave me the opportunity to pursue my Master’s degree in Education without stepping away from the other important parts of my life.
Today, as a UoPeople alumna, I look back with gratitude at an experience that was not only academic, but also deeply personal. It connected me with a global community that values education, perseverance, and the achievements of others.
Since then, my professional journey has taken me from working as a school psychologist to serving as a Member of Parliament, and today to continuing my academic path through doctoral studies in Education.
Different chapters, but the same belief, learning is a journey that never truly ends.
Proud to be part of the UoPeople alumni community.

View moreMy experience at University of the People has been mostly positive. I really appreciate the flexibility of the program, especially as someone balancing work and personal responsibilities. The courses are well-structured, and I’ve learned useful concepts that I can apply in real life.
However, there are some challenges. Communication with instructors can sometimes be slow, and peer assessments are not always fair or consistent. Also, the learning experience depends a lot on your own effort, since it’s mostly self-paced.
Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking for an affordable and flexible education, but you need to be self-motivated to succeed.
