ISU is a nice college with reasonable tuition and very friendly for international student. There are so many different majors and I feel safe on campus and in the dorm. State farm headquarter is in town so there are lots of internships and job opportunity during job fair. As an international student, I always feel welcomed and encouraged.
View moreOverall, I recommend ISU for transfer students or 4 year students. Transfer students, however, be prepared to do many things alone. I lucked out by finding some very good friends within my cohort, but many people have already found their friends from people in their dorms, roommates, etc. Events feel weird to go to alone but can be a great way to meet people.

Normal, Illinois may not be a big city, but it’s got its own charm. The community is friendly, and there are some great local spots. Plus, the campus events and activities keep things lively. The winters can be cold, but that’s just an excuse to bundle up and enjoy the snowy scenery. If you’re after a close-knit, enriching college experience, ISU is a fantastic choice!
View moreGreat school and great programs but the higher ups are the worst. They don’t really care about the students, nor do they even attempt to act like they care. But some of the professors are really cool so that makes the school worth it.
