My time at the University of Maryland was a common experience shared by many. The sheer size of the university can make one feel like a tiny fish in a vast ocean of undergraduates. Although I encountered a few professors who genuinely cared about their students’ success, it’s difficult to claim that this was the prevailing norm. To make the most of my higher education journey, I proactively engaged in extracurricular activities and attended lectures enthusiastically. Nevertheless, I believe that certain classroom dynamics should be modernized to better cater to the evolving needs of students.
