The Loyola University of Chicago is a beautiful college with its main campus looking out towards Lake Michigan. If you want to study or relax and enjoy the view, the newly built Information Commons is the place to be. On one side it looks out to the lake, and from the other, you can view the entirety of the campus. It is a smaller school that tends to have quite a lot of students. Although there are not many outside activities for students due to the campus seeing all the seasons throughout the school year, there are many indoor activities that mostly take place in the Damen Student Center. Events like movie nights and ice skating can all be found in that building. The school also offers a variety of majors, the top being Business and Forensic Science. A downside to this school from my experience has been the quality of teaching. Although only mostly taking my general education classes along with a few major classes, I have noticed that many of the teachers are not able to explain the information effectively or answer questions from students. I believe that for the price of the high tuition, there should be better teachers. The tuition, however, also does include guaranteed housing for the first two years as well as many free activities for students downtown and free medical services.
