During the course of my academic studies at the University of Stirling I have multiple times found myself struggling in applying the knowledge learned during the course of the semester to the final assessments. This is because courses are reduced to one/two assignments, which cover only 1/8-2/8 of what has been delivered during lessons and classes, which I believe is particularly counterproductive for students, who are not stimulated to be regular and constant in their continuous studying. I have experienced this issue in first person, since I have never been motivated enough by my teachers to do my best and to show my knowledge, since most of classes only revolve around lectures and seminars, which most people skip most of the times.

One thing I love about this master’s degree is that I get to study in Barcelona too!
What I don’t like is that, since we study in two different countries – it feels very cramped and fast. But, hey working in a fast paced environment!
A good uni overall, easy to navigate around and a nice campus. Not a lot to do to socialise, boring. Manageable workload however unorganised at times which can be frustrating. Hard to get in contact with lecturers as they can be unprofessional at times. Never really recovered after COVID times.
View moreUniversity of Stirling is very student friendly, although sometimes the services may take a while to answer (ex. after coming back from holidays), they will try their best to help you out. Study-life dynamic is also wonderful as you have an option to choose your class groups and shape your schedule to your needs. Overall, I would recommend this Uni to Freshers.
View moreSince starting my postgraduate studies at Stirling University, it has been an overall positive experience. The academic content and support has been consistent throughout, allowing us to get a well-rounded education.
However, disorganisation will often bring the experience down. For example, the new attendance app implemented this year rarely works and therefore our attendance isn’t always recorded. Strikes have occurred which means we aren’t being informed whether classes are on and in some instances, I’ve waited over 2 months to get feedback on coursework. This then meant I was going into the new semester, without knowing I had passed the previous one.
It really is a great uni, but there are just a few issues of organisation and communication that can be refined.
View moreI like the school environment and the fact that there are many spaces to study. I also like how much care is taken to ensure that students have all they need to study. The drawback for me is that there are not as many jobs in Stirling like there are in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Nice campus and learning environment, classrooms are spacious!
Good at feedback times and usually aim to get work back within 3 weeks with constructive criticism.
i liked the university of stirling because it has a beautiful campus and stirling town itself it’s a very homely place to live, most of the friends you make live within a 5 minute walk, there’s many supports systems in place around the university and lecturers are always happy to help, the downsides of this university is that sometimes the course content isn’t delivered in the best way and can be confusing to understand but this is my experience with my individual course this opinion may differ across courses
