I loved the practical experience of the different modules in my Sport Studies course. The work experience strengthened my core key skills today in employment because I got a hand on experience coaching tennis classes at the University.
I also loved the engagement of lectures and seminars because the different tasks allowed us to work in different groups which improved students’ team working and problem-solving skills. The teaching style of seminar tutors and lecturers was laidback and I felt very motivated and encouraged to do all the module assignments.
One thing that I would have liked to have improved during my University career is that I would have liked more feedback review sessions in lectures. This would have helped answer any questions that I had for tasks.
Campus life was very sociable and lively because University accommodation was very close to lecture theatres and there were many clubs and societies on offer for students to participate in. I managed to participate in five different sports cubs and this expanded my social network I managed to gain employment working abroad after I graduated from Stirling University.

Lecturers have been good with supporting us throughout the pandemic and switching things up in the coursework. However, the examination styles are now no longer learning-based, but more research-based. This removes the separation between people who study all the time and people who leave things to the last minute as there is really “no need” to prepare as much for the exams as you would in the past.
