I studied psychology at Abat Oliba and I loved it.
The teachers, the subjects, the assignments… I believe they have all helped me to learn everything I need to know.
The internship program was a bit poorly managed; I recommend finding your own internship placement if you can. But other than that, I’m very happy.
There are partners and managers from other audit firms who give you classes. This provides insights such as perspectives on risks, how to address them… and also includes practical exercises, not just theory.
View moreMy name is Ignacio, and I’m from Quito, Ecuador. I’ve now spent two years in Barcelona studying Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at CEU Abat Oliba, and it’s been a great experience. I’ve really loved the degree. I believe it can form very important profiles for this near future where everything is based on AI, and I also like that you learn how businesses work at the same time. Something I also like is that the university is inside the city, so there’s really no need to mention how fun Barcelona is and how many things there are to do. There’s literally no day where there’s nothing to do.
Something else I like is that on the third and fourth year of the career you go to class in the afternoon, which gives you the option to do internships and grow as a profile. About making friends, if you come from another part of the world, don’t worry, there are plenty of international students, so even if you don’t feel like you fit in with the locals right away, you’ll find your group.
Something I didn’t like were the classes in the old building, kind of uncomfortable, but there’s no reason to change university because of this small detail. Almost all the teachers have been super friendly, and something I don’t want to leave out is how attentive all the teachers are about your progress. Teachers are constantly giving feedback and looking for ways for you to be better, and that’s something you’re very likely not going to find in another university.Overall I would definitely recommend this degree to any international student or anyone who is planning on doing it.
I had a great experience overall with the Master’s in Auditing at Abat Oliba. I especially appreciated its practical approach and the experience of the lecturers, they are all professionals in the field. The programme provides a solid technical foundation while remaining closely connected to the day-to-day reality of auditing. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to develop a career in the profession.
View moreMy experience at Abat Oliba CEU University has been one of the best experiences of my academic journey, and I would 100% recommend it.
What I value most is the close and personal relationship with the professors. You never feel like just another number in the classroom. They genuinely care about you, your progress and your professional development. They take the time to listen, understand you and support you whenever you need it.
The professors are also great professionals with real industry experience, which makes the learning much more practical and connected to the professional world. I especially appreciated having external professionals and guest speakers come to the university and share their real experiences and perspectives.
There is also a very warm and familiar atmosphere throughout the university, which makes you feel comfortable and supported from the beginning.
Overall, it has been a very positive experience, both academically and personally. I would definitely choose Abat Oliba CEU again and recommend it to future students.

View moreAs an international student, my experience at Universitat Abat Oliba CEU has been very positive so far. From the moment I started the admission process, the staff were very supportive and always willing to help. On Welcome Day, I really appreciated being able to discover all the opportunities the university offers. I was introduced to “Global Point,” a club for international students, as well as the language service, which has helped me a lot since I am not yet fluent in Spanish. I also liked that each degree had its own welcome session, where the professors introduced the course and students had the chance to get to know each other.
I also enjoy the small classes because they make it easier to participate and learn. This allows the professors to take their time to explain things and really pay attention to each student. I not only enjoy the lectures, but I also really appreciate when guest speakers come to give presentations, I have found these sessions very interesting and insightful. Outside of lectures, I also love what the campus has to offer. I find the Aula Magna especially fascinating and beautiful, and I think it’s special that exams are held there. I was also welcomed very kindly by the director of the choir, who allowed me to play the piano in the Aula Magna so I can keep practicing. The campus itself is beautiful with an amazing view over the whole city. Overall, I am very happy here and really enjoying the start of my studies.
