Everything about Roehampton is perfect! The teaching is of a hight class with challenging topics which help to push me out of my comfort zone and explore new areas of my course. The support from staff is amazing with monthly tutor meetings, open office hours and fast email replies. The student life at Roehampton is also something that stands out with safe university run nights out with transport to and from all venues provided. I would definitely recommend this university and all its beautiful campus has to offer.View more
Roehampton University for me is the best one in London. It is an old university and has historical buildings (Harry Potter film) with lots of trees and 2 lakes. That is what makes it different because you feel like you are part of a community, a family. Also the lecturers are the most caring and supportive staff you can ever wish for!View more
I started my degree at Roehampton in 2018 and so far its been one of the best decisions I’ve made so far. It is easy to make friends and find a place where you belong as the Uni offers so many different societies and sports teams. The time you spend time doing uni work and the free time you have is really balanced, and bc of where Roehampton is based, you have easy access to London or other places to go out and spend your day. I am really happy with the services provided by the uni and the effort of the Business School. You don’t just learn about the theories in business, you already start using it in real life examples.View more
I felt at home here the moment i walked in, but when I began my study here it turned out it was an even better uni than i thought. Fellow students, lecturers and all staff are so nice and supportive. lots of events to go to, even as an off-campus student. The location and area are surreal to have in such a busy city, can’t believe how green and clean it is. lovely place.View more
Beautiful campus, great facilities and a really great overall feeling for the lifestyle. But I had a nightmare experience with the accommodation.
I stayed at Spring Mews, where I experienced strange men being allowed to walk into my flat, and more constant intrusion. Unkept promises and very rude staff. There were maybe around 3 members of staff who were kind and understanding but the rest were awful. No aircon or heating in my room for the entire year. Anything I’d report as faulty would never get fixed, or if it did it wouldn’t be done to a basic standard.
Misleading prices for the rooms. Myself and another paid the same amount as everyone else but received box size rooms whereas others got extra big rooms.
Roehampton is a gorgeous campus with amazing places where you can take a book to wind down a little or hang out with your friends or simply relax with a cup of coffee/tea in hand. The library is well stocked and if you study dance you’d be happy to know that the resources are endless. Roehampton excels in theory however there are certain practice modules within the university that do lack energy and could you with a revision and pushing of students to truly do well in the practice sector as they do in the theoretical. That said trust that as a student you will have an on campus experience that you will treasure for the rest of your life.
On another note living in the off campus accommodation that this university offers, as an international student it allowed me to live in central London and made it easy to commute between the accommodation and the university itself.
