According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.

Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
While studying at the university of Portsmouth for three years ,they did well in creating an easy and accessible campus that allowed you easily go from a to b. The degree studied had good teaching when it came to essays and exams however they could have done more with helping us with our future prospects and what is expected of us when finishing university and getting a job. I thought they focused too much on academia rather than the usefulness of practical experiences and skill sets needed to compete with other candidates in the job pool.

The teaching method has been delivered in many different ways due to Covid, first online then in-person then blended, which did not make it easy for the students. On the other hand, the university offers plenty of support in any aspect of uni life, from study to finance support, to job searching, to recreational activities.

I am presently studying MA in Digital Marketing and it has been a wonderful educative experience as I have been introduced to technological tools needed in my field barely within 2months we started the course. I need to say here that the curriculum is perfect as it is 70% practical with amazing facilities.
Contrary to my fear of loneliness or isolation when I resume because I am an international student from Nigeria; the reverse is the case as UoP happens to be another home for me.
