A practical salt of the earth university teaching more than a degree in engineering, but a masters in life too. Excellent city, excellent people, grounded education to get a good step on the ladder and begin the working life. Also a top rated university for the course I was studying (engineering – specialising in Offshore).
View moreThe university has outstanding facilities for all engineering courses. The course layout is well structured and easy to follow for new students. The use of NUMBAS and iPads in the course has made it more engaging. I would recommend Newcastle for its cozy and welcoming environment to any student no matter where they are from.
View moreI like the university quite a lot and the student life here ia really good. The only downside is that some of the lecturers aren’t very great and it seema like they don’t know what’s going on at times.
Personally, I had a lecturer last semester that from the first day she’d just do exercises in class, the problem was that she hadn’t covered anything and just expected us to know why everything was like that and how they had to be solved.
