You could tell that good money has been invested into MMU as a whole. The building were fantastic, there was plenty of study areas, and the campus felt like a place you wanted to show up to every day. I was lucky in the sense that all my lecturers and professors were fantastic and made the learning experience feel very personal (the classes were always small). I never had issues when I needed help with work. Another huge benefit of the university is their fantastic careers team, there is so much on offer, if you go and look for it, and they always provided opportunities for internships and jobs within the university to expand your expertise. I did an English (BA) course and my only complaint would be, that not enough of the classical literature was covered that you would find on typical English courses. I felt it to be quite contemporary and modernised and there was even modules focused solely on Manchester. The strengths of the university are definitely in Arts & Humanities and there is so many amazing opportunities for students in these fields, I would 100% return there for further study.
View moreManchester Metropolitan University is a great university. Following my seamless introduction to the city centre campus (that was modern, and had all the facilities required to be a successful student), I continually felt supported, and was made to feel comfortable asking for help if I ever needed it. The English department was exceptional, with a wide range of module choices and very helpful and knowledgeable professors. At the end of my 3 years, I was very happy with my decision to study at MMU, and would do it all over again.
View moreMy university experience has been mixed so far. In my first year, I had a full university experience for a few months which I thoroughly enjoyed. Then our country was placed into lockdown which introduced blended learning. Our lessons were placed online and it was difficult to focus on my degree. However, the teachers are very supportive at MMU and there is help available for everybody no matter what the case. The course itself is more challenging than I expected however, this will only make my final outcome in completing my degree more fulfilling, hopefully.
