My experience was great at Roehampton, even though my second year was impacted by Covid.
As I was enrolled on a practical based course, doing class was tricky, but the university really did their best to be able to adapt to the times. The staff are kind and patient and genuinely want you to learn. One of my teachers on my course did not have a high tolerance for joking in class but in hindsight he was one of the best lecturers I experienced there. For example I am a kinaesthetic learner, sometimes needing ideas explained in different ways – the lecturers and teachers 90% of the time will find ways to explain concepts to ensure the entire class understands and grasps said concept.
As an added bonus, the people and the social life were fantastic, the student union was where me and friends would mostly be after classes were done. I made so many friends for life there thanks to the course and of course, the student union.
