The programme is great for those aiming for careers in research and innovation sectors. However, I do feel that the staff are sometimes “unfocused” in terms of being slightly distant from the students/not taking the time to personally help us with things. Sometimes, I feel like our opinions are also ignored. However, the degree itself is very interesting and I feel that I learn a lot from it.

UCL is a very international, diverse, and full of possibilities university – during and post graduation. The students are intelligent and the professor participates in numerous interesting projects outside of the university and within. There are more than 300 societies in which one can join depending on their interests and/or skills they want to develop. This was my personal highlight of the university as societies were a great place to meet like-minded people and have a community, which was especially important in such a massive university in such a giant city such as London. The huge scale of the university and the city might be a problem for some depending on the person. London is a city full of life and opportunities, and UCL is in the center of it. Though both are very big, it is easy to feel lonesome at times if one does not have a community. Otherwise, the university itself is one of the worlds best universities, ranked in the top 10 on the globe, and you can really see and experience the quality of it. I would recommend UCL for anyone who has found an interesting program there, can study, and is willing to live and experience a city like London.

Especially for international students, high ranked universities seem very attractive and UCL satisfies that. Many renowned professors around campus as well! However, student satisfaction on lectures and campus life could be lower than what it looked from outside. Location of the campus is more than perfect for enjoying the heart of London.

The students at this university are lovely and the societies available are a great chance to meet new people. The coursework is challenging and the standard of teaching is not consistent so it can make coursework even more difficult particularly the coding coursework especially when some are harshly marked. The group projects are quite varied and are mostly interesting. The careers team are brilliant and organise a lot of networking events as well as CV clinics which is helpful and beneficial.

I love this university – the campus is fantastic as well as in a great Central location, there are always events happening and the students are very friendly. The facilities offered by the university are also amazing!

Overall great uni and happy to be here. Campus is great, there’s a good range of people and seems like there’s something for everyone. I feel like sometimes some lecturers care way more than others but I guess that’s to be expected

Great lectures, amazing lecturers. Facilities and laboratories are also very good. First-year was not a struggle and everyone was very supportive. The accommodations during the first year also very good.

What I like about UCL is its links with many companies which creates positive career prospects for students. Being in the heart of London, there are many opportunities to network with such companies at career fairs and talks held on campus. However, the teaching isn’t so great in certain departments. There is minimal support and a lack of personal interaction with professors due to large class sizes and poor teaching methods. In addition, it is easy to feel overwhelmed and isolated at a Uni in the heart of London, but this can be improved by getting involved in societies/sports.

The diversity of students and their backgrounds is phenomenal, not only are there a wide selection of courses which brings along with it many personalities, but also there is a huge quantity of students from all over the world attending the university.

The university proves its high place on the rankings. The teaching staff is very professional and always ready to help, the facilities (like labs and lecture halls) are excellent and the material we study is updated to the latest discoveries which are awesome. I strongly recommend it, especially for people looking for uni which is rich culturally — I feel like most of the students are international..
