What an amazing college. Love the faculty and insustry exposure we get here. The beamst part is that this is the experience across all disciplines. Great location and environment which makes studying here a great fun experience as well.
View moreSo far, on my law course, I have enjoyed my time at the university. I have found that the vast majority of teaching staff are very approachable, helpful, and make themselves available in the event of any issues. However, following the release of examination results, I found there was an unacceptable level of disruption caused by a disorganised faculty resulting in a delay of exam result release as well as incorrect grades being given. This is not something you would expect or tolerate from an internationally-renowned educational institution, and left me feeling quite disappointed. Despite this, I appreciated the student body representing the law students by stepping up and taking in all feedback surrounding these issues so they can formulate concrete improvements and relay this information back to the faculty in order to improve. This is promising, and suggests the university is willing to improve, if they adequately implement and practice a new model of organisation.
View moreIn my year and a half at King’s, I can say with complete conviction that I would not have wanted to go to any other university to study anything else in any other city. King’s makes learning exciting, strips university education of its daunting nature, and makes it a collective experience that all students share and is one that they look forward to rather than dreading. It truly is a world-class university, with an unparalleled quality of education, and an unmatched living experience.
View moreKCL is an experience like no other, the academic stimulation I receive is incredible. The environment of classes is immaculate. The teachers are friendly and always readily available for seeking guidance.
View moreKing’s is a great, centrally immersed law school — right in the middle of the Royal Courts of Justice, bar chambers, etc. So the location for studying law gives it a great air. There are also a lot of well-established professors and a pretty chill environment. It is a bit expensive.
View moreKing’s College London has long served as a center for learning and intellectual development. When I needed, the student services department was incredibly responsive and helpful. Lecturers and assistants are incredibly motivating and beneficial. Would only suggest it to those with offers because it has so much to give each student, but I must add that you must be looking to make the most of their services because there are many. This university gave me invaluable knowledge and skills and made a significant contribution to the improvement of my writing and thinking capabilities. King’s College offers all the facilities that a university should have.
View moreI have started LLM studies in September 2021 at KCL. Before the studies commenced I was curious aboıt specific subjects related to IP Law. When I searched for KCL’s curriculum I found out that offered subjects were related to my interest areas. I could find answers to the questions in my mind from high scale professionals and this is the best part of LLM studies for me. Besides academic life, London is a beautiful city to live in although slightly expensive compared to other UK cities.
If circumstances of covid would be different, I would like to spend more on campus and I am looking forward to compensating for this situation in the summertime.
The professors could be a bit more organized but the classes are very relevant to the topic.
Great talks and speakers coming on campus.
Very international environment.
Student life for master students could be better.
View moreVery high quality of teaching, with many lecturers having previously taken senior positions within businesses or public/international authorities. This leads to very practice-focused lectures and courses in general, which is very important especially for Master’s degrees.
The university offers a great variety of high-quality career services that are very easy for students to access.
View moreI graduated with a 2:1. The accommodation leaves much to be desired (it’s awful and overpriced despite the best efforts of the student union to keep prices down) and the university seems a little too zealous about keeping order on campus. I have never been to any university as heavily guarded as King’s.
I made it through university relying on lecture capture (which my course thankfully had, consistently) and self-study, and some timely emails to tutors. The location is great and I would sort of recommend students to go to King’s because at least the workload isn’t as bad as LSE and they don’t obsessively track your attendance at lectures like UCL does.
