University of Liverpool is widely respected for its strong academic reputation, research quality, and diverse student community. Many students like the university because it offers good teaching facilities, supportive lecturers, and a lively campus environment. One thing many students like is the location in Liverpool. The city is friendly, affordable compared to some other UK cities, and has a rich music and football culture. Students often enjoy the social life, libraries, and student support services.

Some common dislikes mentioned by students include the rainy weather, the workload in some courses, and occasional delays in administration or accommodation services. Like many large universities, experiences can differ depending on the department and individual expectations.

My masters degree is very practically orientated – which I have found to have offered fundamental skills for the workplace. In comparison to my undergraduate degree at the University in Geography, which was far more focused on reading academic literature, I believe my masters has given me more employable skills. Condensing contact hours into 2 days allows me to balance time between uni and other activities successfully, and gives me a suitable amount of independent study time. I have found the University to be very supportive both within my course, and future – both possible further postgraduate study and my career with the use of the careers hub.
