The University of Leeds clearly has a focus on its cultural history through the FAHACS department, allowing students to spend a great deal of time analysing specific aspects of our own history and of others. Despite several issues with strikes, my education felt full overall. Universities should focus on fair pay and equality to ensure the best for both their students and their staff. Specific modules for me include Representation and the Holocaust, which focused on dealing with traumatic, incomprehensible events and peoples attempt to put them to paper. The complexities of this module was fascinating and multi faceted. The two pronged study I had with FAHACS and the Communication and Media school helped me to have a full university experience.

I think University of Leeds is an excellent University. There are many classes, student organizations, and work/internship opportunities. I was able to gain work experience as a foreign student and they have work programs available for foreign students officially as they understand how pricey it can be to live in the UK. The location of the school is right next door to the city centre of Leeds so it’s easy to go shopping, party, and get to the main transportation hub.

There are a variety of programs for Undergrad and Graduates; probably the most diverse I’ve ever seen. Once again the student organizations are amazing and is what made my time in Leeds the best. I was able to adapt into the community because of student organizations and they are available to all students. That means you to graduates! I was on the baseball team, cheer team, and apart of the Japanese society.

I was able to gain a lot of work experience from working in bars to being a VIP hostess for Manchester United Football club. These jobs are available under their Joblink program. Even if you don’t have the experience, they will provide opportunities to gain them. And the gigs pay well.

The campus is very diverse and welcoming to international students. However, I would say I didn’t like that there wasn’t many stipend or grant opportunities available. They were for UK students, which is why I gave four stars.

Graduating from the University of Leeds with a Master of Arts in Communication Studies in 2010 was a pivotal moment that significantly shaped both my academic and personal journey. My time in University of Leeds has been really fruitful and productive. There are always opportunities to get involved in societies and events, as well as a great academic support system. I met many lovely people and never regretted choosing here as my top choice. I look forward to realise my potentials and flourish in the campus!

One thing that stands out to me on this course is how practical and hands on it is. I enjoy this as it is aimed towards those who can’t show off their skills in exam based assessments. Every week we have multiple two hour workshops in small groups to be able to get one on one time with the lectures. I also enjoy the range of skills I’ve aquired including programming skills and design for digital media skills.

the things I really enjoyed during my master’s are the colourful events held on campus, which give the student a lot of opportunities to live the best of their school years. One thing I don’t like is how the school deals with the strike on campus. Because the teachers are striving for a higher salary, their activities greatly influence the students. But there were not many solutions to the inconvenience it caused. Students are paying for that.

As an international student, the university of Leeds was the first oversea university I had approached and it satisfies all my novelty and curiosity about England’s education system. According to my own experience, the university trying to make more study resources available for students and staff. It is really helpful for my research process. In addition, there are various activities, you guys can find all the activities that you may be interested in. Besides, there are lots of cute little animals out here. I really miss the day I study in Leeds. Keep that Leeds feeling forever.

The University of Leeds is a great school, full of international students and great opportunities to connect with peers. One of the best things about Uni of Leeds is the vast choice between societies and clubs that every student can participate in. There are many ways in which someone can meet other people or find help when needed. The teachers are mostly nice and helpful, the classes are often interactive and exams are perfectly manageable with good time planning. I would recommend University of Leeds to other international students.

Everything is ok. The University of Leeds is the best university I have ever been to, with a strong learning atmosphere and excellent course design. Although new Media is a new major, the teachers are very responsible and serious, and the course assignments are very meaningful.

Yes, the university is very diverse. The teachers were very helpful, the students were friendly, I will surely recommend it to others. You won’t feel the odd one out or exception on the campus or online. The thing I liked the most is cooperation and support for students.
