I have found my experience at the University of Strathclyde, generally, very positive. It is easily accessible via public transport as it is located in the middle of Glasgow city centre. This always means that there is a multitude of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes nearby which is favourable. All of the lecturers which I have met have been very helpful, and have explained things very well. I am particularly impressed by my tutor throughout my dissertation who was always at hand to answer any questions I had, no matter how silly they may have been. This made me feel very comfortable throughout my degree and created a positive educational atmosphere. The one area in which I feel the course fell short was the group work/student interaction element. Up until the fourth year, there were no tutorials for my degree and I found it hard to meet other people and form friendships. I know other subjects have frequent tutorials and group work and I feel this is something that my subject area should do more of in the future, to help more reserved and introverted people like myself make friends.
View moreStudying Psychology at the University of Strathclyde was a fun experience. All the staff and students are lovely. The course had engaging content and was executed well. I really enjoyed a lot of the topics, especially in my last year of university. The university is in the heart of Glasgow and coffee is never too far with the union coffee tasting amazing and being cheap, Tim Hortons is also a stone’s throw away. The only issue I have is that some of the campus buildings are up a steep hill which got me tired but was good for my glutes. I had a great 4 years and would definitely recommend this course and university. So many great memories and friends were made here.
View moreI have really enjoyed most aspects of this course and would definitely recommend Strathclyde to anyone who may be considering it. the only downside was that a lot of my course was online due to covid, meaning it was very difficult to make friends/meet people. However, this obviously could not be helped at the time and presumably won’t be an issue for future students.
