CMU is located in a wonderful neighbourhood, and the campus is incredibly stunning. It contains almost everything you might possibly need on campus, as well as good transportation links for buses and an oyo cycle stand across from several areas in Cardiff. I haven’t had much experience with student support services, but I’ve heard they’re pretty decent from friends. The university was quite excellent about COVID measures, with immunizations and free testing available on campus. At times, it’s obvious that it’s a business, and it should remember that its main concern should be its students and staff rather than earning money for the VC, but generally, I’m happy here and wouldn’t change my decision.
View moreBeing a female and studying a tech-related subject at Cardiff Metropolitan University was such a delight. Although there were not many girls on the course (it’s a male-dominated field) I felt honoured to be studying such a demanding subject. Girls are being encouraged to take up a career in tech and studying it at uni really boosted my confidence! The support received throughout my uni experience was amazing. Having tutors encouraged me to take part in blogs and various other activities to inspire other girls (like me) to study a tech-related subject. Let’s make a change and welcome more girls into the world of technology!
