Our laboratories and experienced professors in our school help us in every subject. We have some good student clubs to work with. We can improve ourselves with them. Today’s coronavirus has affected us just like any other school. Since our school was formerly connected to the Anatolian University, it has survived this process with the least damage by using the old open education experiences. As an example, we made the electrical circuit laboratory on the online platform. If you want to study engineering in our school, very successful teams are waiting for you as well as the very nice clubs. You feel that you are developing yourself with such activities.
View moreEskisehir Technical University (formerly known as Anadolu University) is a brand new university whose roots go back to the 2000s. The engineering faculty is mostly focused on quality and accreditated by MUDEK. (MUDEK is a full member of ENAEE (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education). All programs have a EUR-ACE certificate. In my department(Electrical and Electronics Engineering) program is 100% English taught. Professors speak English all the time(of course with some exceptions like no foreign students present) and exams are 100% English. Department is known for its rich laboratories. Most of the department related courses have mandatory laboratories. There are 6 options to focus at 4th year: Power Systems, Signal Processing, Telecommunications, Digital Systems, Control Systems and Electronics. There are several mandatory courses for each minor area and some flexibilities for taking courses from other areas too. Before graduation, 240 ECTS and bachelor project/thesis should be completed and it is highly examined by the advisor and also by faculty because of accreditations. It is mostly hard to pass exams without studying so students should be prepared to study a lot.
View moreNormally Eskişehir is not a big city in Turkey but it has 3 universities. So students constitute the majority of the population in this city. Also my own view this city is most livable city in Turkey.
View moreFor those who don’t know, Eskisehir Technical University was part of Anadolu University until it was separated in 2018. So I just wanted to highlight that it was not formed in 2018!
to review this university I will consider some other things also and rate them(out of 5):
-The city of Eskisehir (5/5)
-The quality of the education system in Turkey (3.5/5)
-The quality of the education system in ESTU (3.5/5)
-Student life (5/5)
-Foreign student life (5/5)
-Campus Facilities(3/5)
-Campus Location(3/5)
-Transportation to Campus (1/5)
I started my review with “Charming history … Promising future” because I believe that ESTU has a great history as Anadolu University, and as a student of ESTU I can see a promising future in the next few years.
View moreEskişehir Technical University is new but also, getting better day after day. With international associations and teams, it gives students a chance to improve their selves in many ways. Eskişehir is a great place, as well. With the river which divides the city into two parts and street of bars, Eskişehir gives every opportunity to students. It is a place, you will never want to leave.
