I think UvA is a great university that offers plenty of opportunities for students who are motivated and willing to put in the work. It suited me well since I’m self-driven, but it might not be the best fit for someone who needs more guidance and structure due to the relatively low number of contact hours. I loved that my program was super research-focused, which gave me a solid foundation for further studies and aligned perfectly with my interests.

Uva’s student union throws awesome events that make campus way more fun. The study spots are great—I love the private rooms for solo coding sessions or small group work. Even as a commuter, the schedule works perfectly: I hit my classes, squeeze in a workout at Uva’s gym, finish up, and still have a few hours to study before boxing practice (which ends early enough for dinner at home).

I’d like to emphasize my experience with the instructors: they’re typically on time, with classes nearly always beginning as scheduled, and delays are uncommon. Also, despite my initial assumptions, they’re not at all arrogant, which genuinely surprised me. They’re accessible and willing to assist, and I’ve had no problems with them so far.

I haven’t had much experience with university or student life yet, so I can’t really give it a rating. The campus is in a convenient spot, just a short walk from my home. The student support is pretty good and has been helpful to me a few times.

I found my track to be a bit outdated and theory heavy. I´m not sure these old papers are applicable to international business now. I wish I had taken digital transformation but the program was new at the time and it seemed risky. my supervisor was completely absent during my whole thesis
