My experience at the University of the Western Cape has been largely positive. I appreciate the sense of community and diversity on campus—it’s a place where you can meet people from various backgrounds and perspectives. The academic programs are robust, with lecturers who are knowledgeable and supportive.
What I like most is the focus on social justice and the opportunities for involvement in student organizations. However, the administration can be slow and difficult to navigate, which can be frustrating when dealing with things like registration and queries. Some of the facilities also need an upgrade to match the growing student population.
Overall, I would recommend UWC to students who are looking for a welcoming and inclusive environment that values both academic achievement and personal growth.
