The Bachelor’s program in Communications and Media Studies at North-West University was immensely fulfilling and had a significant impact on my career. I am submitting a subjectively good assessment that persuasively highlights the program’s strengths as a 2005 graduate.
The program’s extensive and varied curriculum, which covers a wide range of topics in communications, media theory, and practical skills, is one of its most notable aspects. The classes gave me a well-rounded education that equipped me for a dynamic and changing field, covering everything from public relations and digital media to journalism and television.
In addition to being authorities in their domains, the faculty members had a strong desire to see their students achieve. Their advice and coaching were priceless, motivating me to investigate novel concepts and methods of communication.
The program’s practical experience was one of its best features. Through projects, internships, and campus media opportunities, I was able to put the knowledge I gained in the classroom to use in practical settings. In addition to improving my education, this hands-on experience allowed me to forge solid professional ties.
With a variety of student groups and cultural activities, NWU’s campus life was lively and welcoming and enhanced my college experience. Additionally, the campus’s serene and motivating Potchefstroom setting offered an ideal setting for education and individual development.
All things considered, obtaining my Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Media Studies from NWU was a life-changing experience that gave me the abilities, know-how, and self-assurance to pursue a prosperous career in the industry. I heartily endorse this curriculum to anyone with a passion for media and communications.
