Practinum experience and social issues
Nelson Mandela University provided a transformative and inclusive learning experience. As an adult, married woman with children, I found the institution to be highly supportive of students from diverse backgrounds. The university’s emphasis on practical learning, particularly through the practicum programs in social work, allowed me to engage directly with community challenges and apply theoretical knowledge to real-world social issues.
I appreciated the university’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, especially its focus on accessibility for students with disabilities. The faculty were knowledgeable and approachable, and the resources available to students, such as counseling services and academic support, were invaluable in balancing my studies with personal responsibilities. My time at Nelson Mandela University not only deepened my expertise but also strengthened my passion for social change.
