The University of the Witwatersrand (or colloquially known simply as Wits, and its students as “Witsies”) has a long and proud tradition of providing dynamic preparation for the challenges of tomorrow across a broad spectrum of faculties and schools. This means Wits caters for the needs and aspirations of all students – whether you want to focus of arts and culture, pure sciences, medicine, engineering, law, commerce and business – there is definitely a place for you. Many of the academic staff are world-renowned in the fields and Wits Graduates have pursued successful careers around the world.

OKAY so that’s something just about my alma mater Wits. But I will be able to bring you reviews on all the universities in South Africa!
And as an experienced corporate lawyer I know how to ask questions which will provide much more detailed and useful information than – “the university has a nice view” and is located in a great city etc.

Wits is the best institution in South Africa. I have had a life-changing experience since attending . Not only does it offer the best academic programs, they provide students with all round activities and endless amounts of opportunities in order to network and build their careers.

Wits is an academically outstanding institution that provides first-class education to students. I would highly recommend Wits to high school students because they would receive quality tertiary education that is going to sharpen their critical thinking skills. In addition, their degrees would enable them to secure job opportunities in high-ranked companies. However, the university fails to educate and inform students about the probabilities of securing employment upon completion of each programme offered in the institution. Thus, with my degree programme I was not given any information about the scarcity of job positions for a BA law graduate.
