The uni is ok. They dont give us a space to study, and some classrooms have been opened under Tito, but its still ok. Most of the Professors are pretty nice (some of them), but they do sometimes nag you for literally no reason, which is not particularly nice
View moreI mostly like it here. The environment is cool, and professors are understanding. If we sometimes forget about something, we are able to make a compromise about our work. They also dont give us too much workload, as they know that most of us works besides being in uni.
View moreI would recommend it, as it is a really nice school. The only problem is, they don’t adapt to changes as quickly as they should, but that’s general throughout all universities in Europe I guess… They do invest a lot in equipment, which is nice
View moreLocation in the capital city of Slovenia. Good student life. Everything is really close. The professors at my Faculty (of Electrical Engineering) are really nice (they aren’t looking to screw you over!). At the same time, there is not enough work during the semester. You basically can sleep until the exam period, which is in my opinion really bad for the students. They (we) don’t learn as much as if we would have various preliminary exams during the semester and a bit more homework also. But all in all, it’s a good faculty.
View moreI would recommend it because it has a lot of benefits besides school (Boni, dorms). Besides that, the student life is really nice (a lot of clubs and bars) and all of the schoolmates are really nice, so we all enjoy going to this university.
View moreWe have students coupons to get really cheap meals where we are unique
That’s one of the many benefits that we get. Also, student dorms are cheap and in a good location so you can reach uni by walking distance.
Studying at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering is in principle worthwhile, but for certain areas there is too much focus on details and then the student does not have a good overview of the field when he / she completes the 1st level, this is especially true in the field of electronics in transistors.
View moreI attend the 3rd year at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. With university and college, I am very pleased with all, because I am offered a lot of different options besides the study itself. The University organizes many sports activities and cultural events at the beginning and end of the academic year. In the course of the year, there are also a lot of different workshops/lectures, how to write your CV to various Erasmus presentations, and a few other things, so that student life is all year round. As far as programs in English for Erasmus and foreign students are concerned, the situation at our faculty may be a little worse, as there is rarely any subject in English. Otherwise, foreign students get their tutors and the assistants are greatly available and we have a huge English literature, but it would be better to have more subjects in English, as this could attract more foreign students. As far as student dorms are concerned, I can not say much about it myself because I live in an apartment, and I do not know what the situation is there. I am a member of the international EESTEC Society, which was funded by the university a year ago in the organization of the congress, attended by students from all over Europe.
To conclude, when I came to college, I thought that I was only going to study, but in addition to the study itself, there was still a lot of opportunities for me, like accumulating a lot of experience in various areas in these couple of years and I am really glad that I could be a part of this university .
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering offers a lot of theoretical knowledge and opportunities for developing practical knowledge as well as other skills, the curriculum is such that it at least on the undergraduate level offers more theory than practical work.
In some departments, the equipment is lacking while others are well equipped.
The staff are approachable and work to make the learning experience as effective as possible.
Finding work after graduating is relatively easy since engineers are very sought after in Slovenia. There are also possibilities for work while studying.
