The UNI program itself is very demanding especially with maths in the first two semesters. The addition of engaging lab work is a good positive and brings it all together. The exams are however very awkwardly structured. We have two exam period with limited exam options that often overlap and leave you to cram many exams at once, while oral exams usually continue in to the summer semester by one or two weeks.

I think University of Ljubljana is one of the best Universities not just in Slovenia, but also in Europe. It has many great programs, high standards, and produces some of the best qualified future workers.

The academic standards are quite high, especially in the technical and social science faculties. Most of the professors are experts in their fields and are quite approachable, though some courses can feel a bit traditional in their teaching methods.
One of the best things about studying here is the ‘Student Bon’ system (subsidized meals), which makes living in Ljubljana very affordable for students. The city itself is incredibly safe and vibrant. The only minor drawback is that some of the older faculty buildings could use a renovation, and finding English-taught modules in certain departments can be tricky. Overall, it’s a top-tier choice for education in Central Europe.”
View moreThe university offered strong academics with some of the best professors and researchers in the country. Some proffessors did take a lot of academic liberty though, but that did contribute to the overall student experience. Ljubljana is an amazing student city, very welcoming, safe and warm, but houseng opportunities can scarce.
