Where do I begin? The higher education system in Slovenia is well nurtured, if not for the teaching methods being a bit outdated. Everything else though: subsidised living, food, and transportation, flexible lecture and lab times, a healthy environment to innovate and overall encouragement to find a job as soon as you can and start gathering experience. I have lived in dorms for a better part of 4 years, and you get a well-equipped kitchen, your part of a modern room for 2 (if you pay a bit extra, your own room), and high-speed internet for measly 70 euro a month. Of course living on my own is a bit more expensive, but subsidies help here as well. I’ve enjoyed subjects from multiple faculties and the sometimes distant approach of the university towards student organizations is why I gave 4, not 5 stars.
