My experience at this university has been truly transformative. The professors are passionate and supportive, and the curriculum balances theory with real-world application. I genuinely feel more prepared for my professional journey.
View moreI had a great experience at this university thanks to the dedicated professors and diverse learning opportunities. I appreciated the supportive community and practical approach to education, although some administrative processes could be improved. Overall, I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a solid academic foundation.
View moreI really enjoyed ASE because the teachers are always available to help whenever you are feeling stuck. The teachers are very good in what they deliver to students and there is option for a lot of practice based courses.
View moreMy experience at the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania, started a couple of months ago in Business Administration at “FABIZ” – The Faculty of Business Administration in Foreign Languages. There are three available programs: English, French and German, all classes are being fully taught in one of these languages. Many international students choose this faculty for its history in being an intercultural environment.
I chose the Bachelor’s program in English. There are various lectures available and for most of them there is also a seminar where students are expected to deepen their knowledge and also to develop the practical side of the information they interact with. The curricula takes the student step by step so you get familiar with the business environment, the terminology and the fundamentals of the economic area. The goal of the courses is to make you able to apply and to understand all the theoretical stuff. Moreover, the technological facilities provide an easier learning process – making it continuous and sustainable after classes.
I would definitely recommend this faculty to anyone who is passionate of business and has the desire to learn. The professors are very well prepared and dedicated in terms of teaching ways, materials and interest in students as individuals. Also the teamwork is highly encouraged so most of the assignments will have to be completed in groups.
Furthermore, as a bonus, the faculty is placed in the heart of Bucharest, one of the most appealing locations for studying, which makes the learning experience more attractive and the student life more exciting.
Last year I chose ASE with a pinch of salt, because many of my acquaintances told me from their experience that it is a university where neither the teachers, nor the students are involved in their work.
That couldn’t be farther from the truth, at least for the German Business Administration faculty where I study. The students here are, though sometimes lazy, really creative and with a desire to put into practice the information that they get from the courses.
The professors are really great at sharing their beliefs about different topics and they also put the student in some mind-blowing scenarios, where they really have to activate their brains to come up with a sensible answer.
I remember with pleasure how we did unique role-play games during macroeconomics classes, games which made me come to a better understanding of how the market works.
I also had quite an annoying experience that I’m going to share with you.
It’s about the marketing teacher whose courses I attended during the second semester. This person contradicted himself a lot of times and that made him look like he doesn’t have a clue what he is talking about. In addition to this, he used to mock the students who answered incorrectly to his questions, without even providing himself the right answer in the end.
All in all, the entire collective of both students and teachers is welcoming and here at ASE can truly be achieved long-lasting friendships. It’s an underrated faculty that I definitely recommend to all the people that are interested in studying smartly.
I am studying Economic Informatics at The Bucharest University of Economic Studies. After one semester, I can honestly say that I am impressed by it: the lectors are very helpful, open-minded, FRIENDLY and understanding, the syllabus is great because we don’t have dead-time between the courses (every day we have all the courses in-sequence
I recently graduated from FABIZ – Faculty of Business Administration, one of the faculties from the Academy of Economic Studies.
After three years of university, I can say that the courses taught at FABIZ cover different topics. Even if this gives you a broader overview over business administration, the courses are done in a “superficial” way. The students only learn the basic information.
The majority of teachers are well prepared with a strong background. The courses are taught in a non-formal way, encouraging the interaction with and between the students. Even so, there are still old teachers who don’t agree with these practices.
The building of my faculty is a modern one, separated from the rest of the universities, located in the city centre. It’s equipped with modern technology (whiteboards, projectors, high speed computers).
The best thing about the university is that all the courses are thought either in English, French or German and we have a lot of international students.
Overall, I would recommend the university, because I believe it has a different perspective when it comes to the educational methods.
View moreI never expected the teachers to be so friendly, that was and IT IS the best part of this university.
The students are very friendly and helpful and also the people working there, from janitors up to the dean.
Too much bureaucracy but it’s a good university. I study Finance in English and I would like to have more practical classes then theoretical classes and for the professors to be more open minded, ready to discuss than to teach.
View moreI’ve had the absolute time of my life so far, the year has gone so quickly and I’ve met so many like-minded and amazing people here. I can’t wait to come back for the second year and I never want the experience to end!
