I am studying Economic Informatics at The Bucharest University of Economic Studies. After one semester, I can honestly say that I am impressed by it: the lectors are very helpful, open-minded, FRIENDLY and understanding, the syllabus is great because we don’t have dead-time between the courses (every day we have all the courses in-sequence so that we don’t have to spend the whole day at the University; this is a very important thing in case you have a job/ you want some more time to learn by yourself what really interests you). What I also like at this University are the subjects (in fact, this is the reason I had chosen this University). Why? Because here I have the opportunity to learn Informatics BUT, for one year and a half, I can also learn Statistics, Economics and other business subjects (personally I hadn’t found a University in Romania where I can learn all these; it’s like the perfect mix for me). Despite some rumours, it is not such an easy to pass University (speaking of the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Economic Informatics). You have a lot to work if you want to succeed and also to be successful. Because at the end of the studies, what you know is what matters. This University offers you lots of opportunities, but the rest it’s on you. So, for someone who wants a career in IT but also to have knowledge in the business domain, I would totally recommend this university.
