I would recommend for the scientific aspect of it, the literal one, they teach very well. People are not always welcoming, I was one of the few girls in the Physics bachelor, and I wasn’t welcomed, specially if you only enter in the ‘2nd phase’
View moreInterdisciplinarity is undoubtedly one of the strengths of the University of Lisbon. The interconnectedness of the various courses offered means that candidates come into contact with several areas of knowledge and grow together with various fields.
View moreStudying at the University of Lisbon was, overall, a positive experience. There’s a good amount of academic diversity, and while the quality of teaching varies, I had several professors who were truly committed to their students. The facilities could be more modern and some administrative processes are slow, which can be frustrating at times. Still, the academic environment, campus life, and the opportunities for research and projects make it worthwhile. In the end, I feel that I grew a lot, both professionally and personally.
View moreMy opinion about the University is very positive, specially the Faculty of Sciences, which was where I studied. The community is very welcoming and there are excellent professors and for a Faculty, the campus is huge, with lots of different study rooms, places to snack and to enjoy the student’s life.
View moreI got my bachelor’s degree at Faculdade de Letras back in 2018. Although the experience was overall okay, I believe the organization could be improved. It’s complicated to enroll the necessary disciplines – everyone applies at the same time through a portal that gets easily overloaded and crashes. When you go back online, everything is already full. This impacted my experience in a very negative way. The facilities were also very old, the classrooms were always very cold during the winter, and extremely hot during the summer.
