The programming of the subjects is too heavy. The installations are old and uncared for, and it seems like the tourists are prioritized. There wasn’t a day in a class that wasn’t interrupted by a tourist barging into the room. Also, the oral tests are very poorly organized, and the university has a really poor consideration for the situation overall. The positive sides are the new generation of teachers that are more reasonable and understanding than the older ones.View more
Since I was little, I wanted to be someone important. But most of all, someone that could help others. So I decided to join this university. It’s prestigious it’s good and we can live the students’ life just by walking in the streets.View more
High qualified teachers and an adequated programmer to all students because we can choose the subject according to the needs we have for our future work as well as good preparation for entering the labour market on the future.View more
How come one of the oldest and most prestigious schools in Europe, and perhaps in the world stayed in the century of its foundation? Although it’s a beautiful sight, most faculties are walking towards becoming ruins.
My programme is very respected worldwide, but it also feels ancient. And the way of teaching. If they were to become a little more progressive, I believe there wouldn’t be a more perfect school to study in – in any field – on this planet.
We have a good and very complete programme and with a lot of practical classes in the hospital. But on the other hand, our university is quite disorganized and sometimes is a chaos and you feel kind of lost there.View more
My experience at Coimbra’s University was the best experience ever. I’ve learned a lot, I had a lot of great students and all the facilities around campus.
Besides the historical sight of the university, there’s so much more to learn around the university. I recommend Coimbra’s University as one of the top universities in Portugal.
For me the university of Coimbra is the best university in my country, Portugal. There there are plenty of traditions and cultural activities you can experience to make your student time the best years of your life.
That is a beautiful city with a lot of interesting history and academic life experience.
If you chose to study in Coimbra you will have the best personal learnings.
No one entertains the phone to the administration desk. Ring ring ring links to more than 1 hour for solving a tiny enquiry.. then no outcome to finish the enquiry or either finalize my fee payment. With the delay then lead to more problem and my transport to Coimbra for the semester is also affected due to delay. What a tragic process of registration and department transferring about my courses…and the people managing always have complained and lazy work. 5 months on the professor here also runaway and always have underground other activities and meetings with professors.
Professors here will not have time or want to think you looking for answer or help. Here is just about for them to get a salary to get the class done to get their name on the internet high up the sky… and let collaboration make a good reputation as branding. I had a very poor professor with much busy work but each time switching between different student. In one day he can date and meet more than 7 students…. so the supervision is very short fast and unless you are chosen to be super special…. in the campus and in the program.
I had colleagues so lucky can get photo exhibited…win competitions…get awards…get money to publish easily… get referred to other professors. So no need to work hard at Coimbra. The professors here already say… is all about luck and whether I cherish you or just do not cherish you.View more
I’ve been contacted by the University of Coimbra to promote innovation and technology transfer, establishing the link between the scientific and technological environment and the productive language translation and writing for a project proposal. Though I may be a recognized translator and linguist, I believe it was inappropriate to falsely claim that the interdisciplinary excellence of its new startup sustainable finance partnership and trade will be ranking in the QS system that is better than the WBCSD business council organization. This was an irrelevant comparison.
Lastly, the unexpected headphone gifts and dinner fees that was paid for the meeting to sign a contract exceeded the normal etiquette and personal space for a new invited post-doc student.
I will decline and avoid for a post-doc or PhD then, this is not the right way for signing a spontaneous deal scholarship grant for a business exchange project that is overly tainted with goals.View more
In terms of education, I have no doubt that it is above average. In terms of academic life and academic environment, I also think it is more than acceptable. The only thing I think this university should be of better quality is on the premises. It is not permissible to have facilities like those on pole 1 where the material is already old and not the minimum acceptable for students to be able to learn.View more
