Joining NOVA IMS felt scary at first. I had so many doubts: the language, the professors, the difficulty of the degree, whether this was really what I wanted to study, what career paths it could open, and even whether my grades would be enough.
I applied and, at first, I was not accepted. My immediate thought was: “Maybe this is not meant for me.” But then, in the second phase, I received the email saying I had been accepted into NOVA IMS. Suddenly, my worries changed. I had already missed four weeks of classes, and I was afraid I would not be able to keep up.
Three years later, I can say that joining NOVA IMS was the best decision I made.
All those doubts slowly disappeared. I found a place with great professionals, approachable professors, and an environment where people are genuinely kind, supportive, and willing to help. NOVA IMS gave me the motivation to learn more, get involved, and push myself outside my comfort zone.
Today, I am proud to be part of this community. Looking back, I would tell my past self: if you are scared, go for it anyway. Sometimes the things that frighten you the most are the ones that open the best doors.
