I have been a student at this university for 6 years. During this time, the majority of my professors (in the department of life sciences) have always kept the door open to students, offering office hours, open email, etc., for any questions. The university staff is also very friendly, making the environment welcoming. Recently, with the addition of the student hub, the path for you is even clearer, with this space offering help to students in various ways. Overall, it is a welcoming university, with a good establishment and everything you need to complete your degree in a healthy and practical way. Additionally, students traditions add up to this welcoming feeling, making sure freshman have the possibility to get well integrated at the uni, and make life-long friends along the way.

Every expectation I had was surpassed by the University of Coimbra. In addition to giving me an excellent education, the professors make sure that our lessons include real-world examples. In terms of getting me ready for life after graduation, this has been really helpful. I feel competent and self-assured enough to tackle any obstacles that may arise. I am appreciative of this university’s hands-on approach to education and am confident that it will benefit me in the long run. I am grateful to the University of Coimbra for preparing me for success.

If you ask me, the University of Coimbra is a true Portuguese gem. The quality of education you receive here is exceptional, and it actually prepares you for life. Professors not only teach you academic information, but also how to apply it in real-world circumstances. They continually challenge and encourage you to think critically and creatively, so that when you graduate, you are confident and prepared to face any problem that comes your way. I am grateful for my time at this university and would strongly recommend it to anyone seeking a comprehensive and enriching education.
