The University of Uyo is a federal university that stands out from the rest. I am currently entering my 400 level and I can attest to the fact the Uniuyo is truly a brand.
With the three campuses to contain her students, this university is a choice.

I’m a law student in a public university in Nigeria. While there are advantages and disadvantages, it lies in everyone’s hands to make the best out of every situation.
The fees are fair and the staff is good too because they frequently improve their knowledge and skills in order to get promotions.
I am also a welfare officer in a group in school, The Justice Nsima Akpabio Chambers. I believe a well rounded student isn’t one who just studies to pass but should perform actively in extracurricular activities.
I enjoy International law class the most because the lecturer makes the class mind boggling, quizzing us on every happenings on the international scene.
I really won’t talk about the disadvantages of schooling in a public university in Nigeria, because it could be the best experience, depending on how well it is handled by each individual.

University of Uyo is one of the best with experienced lecturers in the various fields and competitive schemes pushing students to work hard and aim for the best.I like everything about the school and I would recommend to anyone.

University of Uyo is great University with a population that is well over six(6) thousand persons. It is a well known University in Nigeria with outstanding record of academic excellence.

I am a student from from the faculty of law and in my time in the University as a law student, I have benefitted from quite a lot of academic facilities provided by the University to aid in making studies easy for everyone. One such facility is, a free internet WiFi.

What I love most about the University is the fact that, the library is always updated with new books and research materials to aid student in their studies.
I also love its sporting equipments.

I did dislike the noise that was often generated because of its large population.

As a result of the above, I would recommend that the school takes active step(s) in controlling the noise within school hours.

One of the best federal universities is the University of Uyo. Positive student contact and socializing are possible. The lecture halls are roomy and have excellent ventilation. The lodging is adequate, although there is space for improvement.

So far, my experience at the university of uyo has been quite disappointing, to be honest. The institution is quite below standards. The student life here is very stressful and annoying. Poor facilities and classes as well. I really wouldn’t recommend it.

I like the University for it’s fast academic calendar unlike it’s contemporaries. Four months for a semester with concrete teachings and no unnecessary delay.
What’s not really good about my school is the fact that it gets affected by ASUU strike and it keeps delays graduation a bit.

Law is a quality program here with good prospects, the teachers here are serious with job, classes are actually comfortable to be in. What I don’t like here is the accommodations, I think they can improve on that. Student life here isn’t too stressful and the facilities are very decent. Also the location is good. I would recommend.

University of Uyo is the only federal university in Akwaibom state and it is relatively small in respect to the infrastructures and the facilities of each of the departments and faculties. However, the institution is working on a larger project which will eventually become the permanent site as faculties are gradually moving to the new location.
Most of the students live off campus because of the limited accommodation in the hostels
