Abia state university is a good school, all you need to do is to focus and don’t get carried away. What I loved most about my university is the campus lifestyle, students are free, there are lots of fun activities to do in the campus and off campus. Safety during these social activities is not assured, it can go crazy at anytime. Just be prepared for the worst at all times.
Cultism has reduced abit inside the campus but off campus is still very risky to go for social activities.
Social activities are very interesting, different talent showcase competitions and so on…
You will get to meet order student in different departments and have lots of fun.
Absu is fun but one needs to be very careful to avoid falling into the wrong hands.

Abia State University is one of the state-owned universities in Nigeria. and my experience at the university was worth it. My years spent were memorable; concluding the strikes and other activities, I learned and unlearned.
However, Abia State University has a strong academic reputation despite the challenges related to infrastructure, power outages, and occasional disruptions to the academic calendar due to strikes.
as an education student who studied education/economics at Abia State University with top professors who are experts in their field and doing great when it comes to teaching. I was taught by professors in the department of education and also taught by professors in the economics department because it was related to my course of study. I was taught very well, and I did great as a student, which I am really proud of. Abia State University is one of the best university when it comes to strong academic reputation and students in the faculty of education praise their lecturers for their lovely mentorship and knowledge
The environment is serene and conducive for learning with adequate security and a good water supply.

I had a wonderful experience studying Economics at Abia State University Uturu, Faculty of Social Sciences. The university’s academic environment is conducive, and the lecturers are knowledgeable and supportive.

What I appreciated mostly or what I liked is that

– The Economics department has a strong faculty with experts in various fields of economics, the very challenging course was econometrics, but I was thought well and I understood it.
– The curriculum is comprehensive, covering both theoretical and practical aspects of economics.
– The university’s library is well-equipped with relevant texts but has limited computers, but if you have a laptop you can connect to the school wifi.

What I did not appreciate or disliked

– Some facilities, such as the lecture halls and ICT infrastructure, need improvement, urgently
– There is room for more extracurricular activities and student engagement initiatives.

Recommendation:
Yes, I would recommend Abia State University Uturu (ABSU) to prospective students interested in studying Economics. The university offers a solid foundation in economics, and the faculty is committed to helping students achieve their academic goals.

Overall, my experience at Abia State University Uturu was enriching, and has a beautiful natural environment with hills, and streams surrounding it, and the local natives are welcoming. I am grateful for the opportunity to have studied there.
