My Experience with Lagos State University.
I graduated from the Electronics and Computer Engineering Department at Lagos State University, and overall, I’d say it was a valuable experience with some areas for improvement.
What Stood Out:
Classes and Curriculum:
The courses were well-structured and covered both foundational and advanced topics in Electronics and Computer Engineering. The mix of theoretical and practical learning was balanced, but I felt some subjects could have included more hands-on activities.
Professors:
Most professors were knowledgeable and approachable. I particularly appreciated Associate Professor Adenowo’s teaching style, who went the extra mile to ensure students understood complex concepts.
Campus Life:
The campus environment was vibrant and inclusive. I enjoyed participating in clubs, events, or facilities like sports centers or libraries. However, the specific challenge, like accommodation or resources could use some improvement.
Room for Improvement:
The career counseling services were somewhat underwhelming. More industry connections and internships would have been helpful.
Some administrative processes, like collection of certificates, were slow and frustrating.
Advice for Future Students:
Be proactive in seeking out opportunities like internships, networking events, and extra-curricular activities. Take advantage of the resources provided, but don’t hesitate to explore beyond the program to enhance your experience.
