I am Jannatul Ferdous Aangan from Bangladesh, and I have successfully completed my Post-Graduation (M.Sc. in Fashion Innovation) under the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Design at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania. As part of my academic journey, I also had the privilege to study at Politecnico di Milano, Italy, through the Erasmus Exchange Programme.
The program offered a unique blend of sustainable fashion practices, smart textiles, 3D printing, CAD modeling, and research-driven design, which not only enhanced my technical expertise but also broadened my creative and academic perspective. The faculty members were supportive, and the curriculum was well-structured, combining theory with practical industry applications.
What stood out most to me was the international exposure and the opportunity to collaborate with diverse peers and professors. This experience allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of fashion history, aesthetics of fashion arts, fashion retailing, and sustainability in fashion, which are areas I am passionate about teaching and researching further.
Overall, my time at KTU was truly transformative. I would highly recommend this program to future students who are eager to combine creativity with technology and make a meaningful impact in the fashion industry.
