The university is a great place to rain skills and experience of real life. Tue lecturers are supportive and dedicated. However, there is a congestion challenge in ART Courses. I recall a time when I had to resit a unit and the consultation office was so flooded. I would advice students to avoid retakes by all means.

The BSc Human Resource Management program at JKUAT offers a strong foundation in HR principles, labor relations, and organizational behavior. The curriculum is well-structured, combining theory with practical applications through case studies and real-world projects. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, always ready to guide students. The campus environment is conducive to learning, with access to research materials and networking opportunities. The industrial attachment program was particularly beneficial, providing hands-on experience in HR practices. Overall, it’s an excellent program for anyone looking to build a career in HR.

I studied Human Resource Management at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) and graduated in 2023. My experience was generally good, if not completely without problems.

The highlight of my JKUAT experience was the quality of lecturers in my program. They were all veterans in their field and brought practical insights to class, which made learning engaging. The campus also has adequate facilities with access to quality libraries and amenities, which I used for research work and group discussions.

But there were some areas where I thought the university could improve. The administration was at times slow, and processes like course registration or student issue resolution were frustrating and overly bureaucratic. Campus life was also at times crowded, and it was hard to achieve maximum utilization of facilities.

Would I recommend it? Yes, with qualifications. If you’re a high achiever and can adapt, JKUAT can provide you with a good education. But if you want a very slick, smooth-running experience, it might test your patience sometimes. That being said, the HR program specifically did prepare me fairly well to enter the workforce, and I appreciate that.

Jkuat was a really amazing place to study. I learnt so many things while i was there. I learnt how to survive on my own to start with. I learnt a few survival skills there and it has really helped me even after school. Another thing is the quality of education there. It is top notch i would say. The only issue was a few stuff working for the school. They can really give you so much headache when they decide to. Starting from the security guards and even those working in the offices.

THE UNIVERSITY WAS EXCELLENT INTERMS OF EDUCATION AND SUPPORT FROM LECTURERS, THE MAIN DRAWS BACK WAS THERE TO STRICT WHEN IT COMES TO RULES TO BE FOLLOWED WHERE I FEEL THEY NEED ABIT OF FLEXIBILITY FOR NEW STUDENTS

One thing I like about the program is the teachers and classes. The teachers have embraced blended learning where we have both online and physical classes. What the school needs to improve on is adding more resources. The school needs to have more buildings, and more chairs since the number of students enrolling each year are increasing. I will say that the school is an international school because it’s known internationally. Recently we had students being taught by the Ivey school of business from Canada how to tackle study cases and be able to make a business decision. I am among the few students who took part in that program and I am really happy because I acquired skills from that.

This university is the best. Delivery of educational services, especially the human resources fields, despite being an agricultural and technology university, is still rocking. I would really recommend anyone interested in the fields of agriculture and technology to venture here seriously, they will get the satisfaction they require.
