A university is an avenue where you will get to learn not only academically but growth in social life and the connections you can make with your fellow colleagues. I have improved in this aspect of my life, being able to forge greater friendships with people from different walks of life. On the other side, the education offered is good I have zero complaints about it and the general quality of student life is average to best you have to choose what works for you. I tend to spend most of my free time in the library hence can’t talk about what to expect outside studies but there are other activities that you can engage in like football, basketball or even dancing classes. Expect fewer international students here
Moi university, being one of the oldest universities in Kenya, offers quality education. There is a long list of programs you can choose from and once you have fulfilled the criteria for selecting your life will be transformed. You can always check the university’s website for the intake periods and programs you can do. It’s quite easy to navigate the website and register everything through there. Despite it being located in the western region of Kenya it’s in quite a nice area. There is a very nice modern town known as Eldoret a few kilometres’ from the main campus. You can alternatively choose from a variety of campuses across the country where you can choose to study from but this is limited to the Programs offered in that campus
So far I have realized there is nothing more fun than studying microbiology. Every day you realize we are always in contact with what you study from what we touch, eat or breathe contains some form of microorganisms hence it’s such an easy thing to understand. I love the practicability of this course it’s in everything you do. The university has a well-thought course outline and it is very indulging. You will get to enjoy what you will be studying if you decide to pursue this program and it will be aided by well-supporting teaching staff in our faculty.
One thing I like about my program is that it equips one with the knowledge that can solve a number of problems. The only challenge is uploading of marks, many students do not graduate in their respective years due to missing marks. Moi University is one of the best and top three universities in Kenya. It has a quality education.

Lecturers here are very detailed when it comes to course coverage they make sure that all relevant study materials are available to the students. The university has the coolest learning environment.
The programme was great and was delivered with some of the most experienced lecturers with firsthand knowledge in the aviation industry in Kenya. The opportunity to experience practical industry operations with a 4month industrial attachment was a great eye-opener.
Moi University is internationally recognized for its involvement in world affairs such as in the needs of students and their communities, businesses, industries, and the governments. I love the university for the way it is at the forefront to equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to counter rising poverty levels in the country. This is a nice university to take your studies from as it incorporates both blended and on-campus modes of studying.
Well, I think I have enjoyed my stay at this university so far, It offers quality in everything from the professors to the accommodation facilities. Maybe some small improvement in some facilities but generally, in my opinion, everything is really great. I had great excitement when I was admitted to Pursue a program in Tourism Management and to my knowledge, it has been worth the wait to do what I had dreamed of. Come join us
Generally, I would say, it’s a big university in terms of land area, number of students it holds and the number of programmes it offers. However, it’s generally a sleeping giant. The quality of everything has started plummeting. Even the student life which was once bubbly seems to have taken a backseat. It’s as if students want to study the number of years they are enrolled and just leave with low levels of motivation in engaging in anything outside studies.
Good classes but a lot of missing classes where lecturers don’t show up
Good course, sizeable classes most of the times lecturers didn’t show up a lot, some took the job seriously but others did not and many holidays due to lack of capacity delayed our studies making our degree studies to take five years.
