I love how committed the teachers are to their work. They put in so much efforts into making sure we have the best education. However, being English nursing students, it isn’t nice that it is difficult for us to get a clinical practice place in hospitals because of our low Finnish skills.

Studying Digital International Business at XAMK has been a truly rewarding experience. The programme is practical and career-focused, with teachers who are approachable and genuinely invested in your success. The international atmosphere on campus makes learning both enriching and inspiring. I especially appreciate the flexibility to shape my own learning path and the strong connection to real working life. I would absolutely recommend XAMK to anyone looking for a quality education in a supportive and modern environment.

I am student of XAMK university under the department of bachelor of engineering water technology and sustainability. I really like this university because as an international student i didn’t feel that It is a university of different country’s. The teachers and staff’s of this university are really really friendly, I feel like they are like my guardian . Everyone is really helpful when we make mistakes the give us a chance and learn that how to do it . I am enjoying my life here in Finland as an international student of XAMK university . XAMK provides excellent opportunities to build your academic interests. Beyond the the core subjects, For my first semester, I had a huge variety of selecting as many subjects as I could in different fields e.g, I had choosen one subject related to culture, one related to language, one related to enterprenuership and three related to AI.
This not only helped me in steering my formal Master’s in Digital Industry but also helped me in discovering beyond technology into culture and language.

The teachers were really helpful in assisting and had always encouraged to explore opportunities. Campus at Kotka is a treat to visit. The library at campus has been my second home for always being peaceful, clean and quite.

The best thing about the Campus is the sports facilities and availability of Gym.
This helps me in staying healthy.

I’ve had a very positive experience with my university over these three years. First of all, I like the university environment as it is open to international students. I think the bilingual opportunity to study nursing programme itself proves it. The digital learning platforms were easy to use. The teachers were very supportive and approachable although the syllabus was very comprehensive. We were always given positive feedback.

The modern simulation facilities and fully equipped hospital settings helped me to actively participate in clinical practices. The extensive practical trainings helped me to develop working life skills as well as Finnish language skills. The possibility to complete short exchange programmes abroad was also a great opportunity to learn from each other.

Studies included wider variety of assignments such as visits to nursing homes, group projects, presentations, simulations, games. Most importantly there was an integration coordinator who supported international students to adopt to Finnish culture eg. participate in hobbies, sports, clubs, language cafes etc. Also additional support was given to acquire the required skill set for future working life eg. CV writing, hygiene passport.

Moreover, students’ health was given priority. Student health nurse and well-being support services were available. I enjoyed my university life very much due to all of the above mentioned support systems and would definitely recommend it for international students who are seeking for career focused education.
