Although I came across the field of foreign languages almost by chance, it was not by chance that I chose the Slavic languages. The University of Udine has always been a leader in this sector and I can say with certainty that it is an excellent University. The languages I chose were Russian and English, the focus, as far as Russian is concerned, was very focused on grammar but this has meant that over the years we can develop our own study method and continue studying even after finishing ‘university. The teachers were always very helpful and friendly, offering weekly appointments where, if the student wished, he could have him explain what he did not understand. What perhaps can develop in the next few years is greater attention to the speaking part, so that the student is ready to hold a speech before moving to another country. The student environment is good, colleagues are kind and helpful and generally offer to help you.
