Overall, my experience at the University of Messina was positive. The quality of education, the professors’ expertise, and the amount of knowledge I gained over the course of five years were all excellent.
However, the university’s organization leaves much to be desired. During my five years there, I was frequently moved from one classroom to another, and the facilities often seemed to get worse rather than better. Some classrooms lacked enough chairs, while others did not even have proper desks or writing surfaces for students to take notes during lectures. In some cases, there was no interactive whiteboard available, and when there was one, the Wi-Fi often did not work. As a result, a considerable amount of class time was regularly wasted trying to resolve these technical issues.
Student support services are also far from ideal. Receiving assistance or even a simple response from the administrative office can be extremely difficult and time-consuming.
In summary, while the academic side of the university is strong, its organization and student services need significant improvement.

The university is well well-established one in Sicily, within a city big enough for exploring both its Greek and Roman roots. The facilities provided by the university are of great quality and help the international student receive also brilliant education. The only problem with it is that the campuses are very scattered throughout the city hard to navigate.

Minimal student support from the administration offices for any problems, inadequate and obsolete buildings, outdated teaching materials, superfluous or out of context subjects with respect to the degree courses.

Coming from third world country my expectations were limited but as soon as I got here, I received one of the best welcome and help from the University administration as well as professors even though I arrived late to study year, the subject professors greatly helped me to get my studies on track as well as provided me with sufficient help around the campus. The classes were puzzling for me as I had no idea of layout or language at that time but the program coordinator sent me an layout with English language. The student body is very admirable and helped many students in getting free cafeteria food and drinks. While organizing international harmony festivities. A truly remarkable experience to have while studying in the University of Messina and not to forget the lush weather and amazing people of Sicily.
